Tell Me About YOU!

This ole’ blog of mine sure has evolved since I started it and I’m not even sure how many original readers I still have now.  I don’t think all that many who started with me are still reading, but so many of you have joined in along the way and I’m SO grateful for YOU, YOU, and YOU!  If you have been reading my blog from the beginning, I’d love to hear about it.

Y’all make this so much fun for me and I’d love to hear from YOU today.  I’ve often wondered who all is reading.  You lurkers are a mysterious bunch and don’t come out very often.  Unless I’m having a giveaway. 🙂  Then, you come out of the woodwork.

So, today is all about YOU!  Tell me as much as you want to share, I’d love to know at least what state you live in, how old you are and what you do, if you work out of the home or are a stay at home mom/wife.  If you don’t mind sharing.  I just think this will be so much fun and instead of me talking, YOU can do the talking today.

OK, who’s first! Come on, don’t be shy, tell me about yourself.  We’re all friends here and I would love to know more about my wonderful readers.

And if you have a question for me too, ask away! I’ve got plenty to share from my trip to Atlanta this weekend, but thought this would be fun to do while I get some pics sorted, so I’ll get to that a little later.

Oh, and I just have to throw this in….hello my name is Rhoda, not RhoNda, as many of you think it is! 🙂  I have to laugh, because I’ve been called Rhonda all my life and usually had to correct my teachers the first day of school.  I will be 53 in December.

Hi Rhoda..we “met” many years ago on G.I…I adored your decorating taste then and still do.It always amazes me at the bargains you find yardsaling as they certainly don’t have those kind around here.My husband and I recently moved back to my hometown in MS and we have been busy gutting and remodeling the inside of our home since May…we are slowly but surely getting there. Like you, I also enjoy antiqueing, and fitness is a huge part of my life as I am a self-contracted fitness instructor. I also am a HUGE BAMA fan as I lived in Tuscaloosa for 4 years and my ex MIL and both SIL’s all worked at the University..once they convert you, you will never go to the other side.LOL
Hopefully some day I will have the guts to start a blog of my own, but until then, I will just enjoy yours daily!!

Hi Rhoda! My name is Paula and I live in Cordova, TN (suburbs of Memphis). I’m 43 & a work at home mom to Stephen (6) and wife to Kevin. I found your blog from a link at the Inspired Home. I have just recently discovered the decorating blogs – I’m having so much fun reading and learning. I’m a true Southern girl: I love to visit the beach, bargain shop, browse at antique stores, cook, and feather my nest. I love Snoopy and have a small collection of Peanuts stuff. Thanks for sharing all the great ideas/decorating suggestions/how-to instructions/recipes – I love your blog!

    Hi Rhonda,

I found your blog about six months ago and fell head over heels for it. I live in North Alabama and I am 20 years old. I am a stay at home mama to a beautiful ten month old little boy and married to my high school sweetheart who happens to be a good ole southern boy. I own & run http://www.itsgravybaby.com. I also have a small e-bay business where I sell infant and kids items.

My name is Jenn and I live in Texas. I am a 33-year-old mother of 3 precious kids and an amazing husband. I am a stay-at-home-mom and work at a mother’s day out program with 2-year-olds. I love to decorate and craft. Not an exciting life, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I love browsing through blogs and getting inspiration, but rarely have a free second to act upon that inspiration…hence, I blog on a rare occasion. Keep up the wonderful posts! I visit yours daily and try to leave comments as a much as possible. 🙂

I have loved your blog ever since I discovered “blogland”. You inspire me with all your decorating ideas and I am now addicted to checking certain blogs each night. My lists of projects I want to do is growing tremendously but I am pleased that I do have time to get a few finished. I love the simple directions and creative ideas.
Rhoda, I am a mother with 3 grown daughters, 2 grandchildren and another on the way. I am active in my community and especially in my church and am blessed with the most perfect life right now. However; I tell my family I have earned this life and I believe I’m living one of the blessings God has given me for successfully raising 3 Christian children into becoming Christian adults. I reluctantly tell you I will be 60 this December – and I can’t believe it!!! Thanks for taking an interest in the lives of your readers. If you ever travel to NW Arkansas (Fayetteville) I’ll be glad to show you around our beautiful town and take you to the first WalMart ever!

Hey Rhoda! Nice to meet you. I have been lurking on your blog about 2-3 months. Found you through The Lettered Cottage. Love your decorating style and all your info you share. Many of your projects I have always wanted to do just didn’t think I could. Now I feel like I can do almost anything! I am 53, live in Clinton, Ms. (suburb of Jackson) and work full time as a RN.

    Rhoda,

I don’t know if I’m an “original” but I have been around for a long time. At least since fall of 2007. I love your blog not only for all the great ideas, talent and beautiful pictures, but also because of your sincerity and sweet nature. ANY time I’ve asked a question on a comment you have always answered AND when I’ve suggested you take a look at my blog for some new redecorating I’ve done, you ALWAYS come by and leave a sweet comment.

Anyway, I live in the far Northwest Chicago suburbs and I’m a 40 y.o. stay at home mom of 2 Ella (5) and Miles (4) and 7 yr wife to Jason (who is 6 yrs younger than me!). I also teach youth dance classes, sew up a storm and have an online Etsy kitchen store http://kitchenstitchen.etsy.com. And I volunteer as a mentor for a ministry called “Teen Mother Choices”. God has worked on me so much through that program and blessed me many times over.

I don’t get to the South much, but am quite intriqued by the culture and lifestyle. Your blog makes me think more and more that I’d really like it. My parents are from rural Missouri and even going there is a treat. It is a slower pace, with sweet friendly people and makes me think of family, simplicity and good old fashioned values.

I’m Roxanne, I live in GA, and I am now a stay-at-home-wife, due to losing my teaching job in August. I am 30 years old, married to the funniest guy around, blessed with wonderful friends and family. Still praying for God to bless us with children, spoiling my mini dachshund Zelda in the meantime!

I am from Montana, and love reading about how you decorate, and repurpose things, and just have so much fun! I’m not sure how I find your blog, but I check it several times a week. I particularly love the summer when you have people link to you with their thrifty finds. That’s one of my hobbies, though I don’t have a blog. The rest of your articles are a great bonus! Thanks for sharing with us out here!

Hey Rhoda without the “n” LOL
I’m Jeanette, I was born in Florida which I’ve lived all my life so far. In fact, my favorite craft supply place (that also sells furniture) is called Southern Hospitality in Plant City, FL.
I was a medical transcriptionist for 27 years, then a closed captionist and now I’m a homekeeper. I love it …I’m such a domestic princess! I enjoy reading your blog bunches and bunches and I get so thrilled when I see y ou’ve peeked in on mine! (smile). My passions are baking and crafting/sewing. I love to collect quilts (stopped counting at 50 because I didn’t want to deal with the guilt! LOL), all things tea, and vintage linens and textiles.
Bored yet? Nice to “meet” you!
