Colorful Christmas in the Foyer

Welcome and Merry Christmas!

Come on inside and let’s see what’s in the foyer this year.   Color, yep there’s a bit of color going on. Most years after Christmas, I can hardly wait to hit the clearance aisles to see what I can find.  So as usual, last year, I went out after Christmas and found all sorts of ornaments and pretties that I just couldn’t live without.  All at 1/2 price,  of course.  That’s how I shop.   I planned to get enough to decorate one of my small trees and it just seemed appropriate to use all of these fun and festive colors on the foyer tree. And I just love how it turned out! Multi-colored explosion, it is just so much fun. This little potted in a white urn tree is one I found last year at the Ballard’s Outlet, when I was home in Atlanta.  I’m happy to have it for the foyer, as it is a perfect fit for this table.  I kept my palette bright and colorful and added a little zebra fabric from my stash, which is always a fun juxtaposition with bright colors.   Somewhere along the way, I found this ribbon, so just added a homemade bow to my Linden Street lantern, filling the whole thing up with extra balls and baubles.  And yes, this one makes me very happy to see when I waltz past it many times a day. The tree is just delicious, with all that color exploding from it! I especially love the toppers of sparkly pics, along with the beautiful white star in my colors too.See how cute all these sparklies are?  I think I found most of this at Target last year, one of my favorite spots to browse the after-Christmas sales.  I have  plenty now (TOO much really!), so someone please shoot me if I attempt to go out of the house on December 26th. Please!   Really, I’m not planning to buy one more thing this year. I sat my little JOY sign on top of a candle holder and called it a day.   Sweet, simple and oh so colorful. Sometime during my yardsales earlier this year, I found 3 packets of these gorgeous little pink balls that were obviously vintage, judging from the package they were in.  Sitting on top of some faux snow, they add a little wintry vintage bliss.   I think I paid 50 cents for all  of them and don’t they play nicely with all the other colorful beauties I had found? One more beauty shot at night, cause that is when  all of our Christmas decor comes alive, isn’t it?  When darkness falls and the lights go on.  Ahhh, blissful!A little more bokeh love.

I am loving this little tree this year.  The explosion of color just makes my heart sing!

I’ve got one more space to share for the Holidays and that’s the dining room, but you can see all of my 2010 Christmas decor here:

Rhoda! I love all the color you’re bringing into the home for Christmas. We have the same turquoise snowflake ornaments as you (: Your Foyer is beautiful! And the architectural junkie in me wants to say how I love that railing behind the table, too!

A woman after my own heart. I love all the color and the zebra print just POPS right off the page! We did a candy land theme this year because I always go and hit the clearance after christmas sales. Last year I was in Target and everything was 75% off so thats where the candy land theme came from!! Lots of pink 😉

This is so gorgeous. I love the zebra print tree skirt, wouldn’t have thought of it but it’s a perfect pairing.

The colors are all so brilliant, so they just POP! Like the little tree in the urn and the zebra print fabric to offset it all. Tres chic, Madame Rhoda! Don’t go shopping after Xmas!!! LOL
