Feature Friday: Marc Jones New Christmas House Part 1

I’m excited to share a brand new Feature Friday with you today and many of you who have been following me for years will remember Marc Jones, who is my sister’s former neighbor. I photographed his house twice years ago and you can see that house in these posts. I think my photography is even better now than it was then and I’m using my iPhone 11 Pro Max for most of my photos now:

Part 1 (2011)

Part 2

Part 3 The fabulous finished basement

Update 12/13 Tour

Since then, Marc went through a stressful divorce and sold that house and moved into a new smaller house in the last couple years. I was so happy to see him get settled in a new place that suits him just perfectly. Marc is a wonderful designer, very talented with layering new and old and is a master at using vintage pieces and mixing patterns. His home is just beautiful and I know you’ll enjoy seeing all the details he adds for Christmas. Marc has quite the collection of Christmas decor and every inch of his house is festive for the Holiday season. Buckle up for a fun and festive ride. I’ll share Part 1 today and then I’ll be back next week for Part 2. I’ll actually post it on Thursday next week since Friday is Christmas.

Known as The Consignor’s Designer, you can find Marc on Facebook, so check out his page and he also styles Southern Comforts Consignment stores, there are 3 in the Atlanta area.

Marc’s new house is really cute and I loved the dark gray paint, white trim and yellow door.

Marc’s exterior is very festive too with the carolers and garland on the posts.

Here’s Marc, a talented designer. Enjoy the tour and leave him lots of comments, I know he’ll be reading them all. I’ll not try to chat throughout the tour. He has so many interesting things to see.

You will recognize many pieces from his former home and how he’s used them here.

I hope you enjoyed Part 1 of Marc’s house as much as I enjoyed taking pics. It’s an outstanding display of Christmas cheer.

Don’t miss Part 2, sharing the upstairs bedrooms and screened porch in the backyard.

Love everything about this house. The way vintage pieces and new are mixed is just perfection. I love that you have buffalo check everywhere, but nothing screams country and flannel. Though there is nothing wrong with either, your look is elevated.

Such a gifted, talented designer! How does he take what looks like a small home and make it live BIG? Saw that huge Mason jar I was looking for! I always check to see how he uses it. I have one very similar. Rhoda and Marc, best Christmas tour ever! Has his home been in magazines? If not, they are missing out!

Thanks so much….the house isn’t that small, 2100 square feet but smaller than what I had for 21 years, 6000 square feet which is WAY too much house . I never want that again but loved it for many years. I store some in attic, and I have shelving in garage that I store the rest. I know how to pack it up! Happy Holidays.

I LOVE Marc’s Christmas decor! I just want to know HOW and WHERE he stores it all out of season!! That’s my biggest problem–where to PUT it all when it’s not being used. This is the question we people want to know!
But I definitely love it all!!

Marcs home is warm, cozy and beautiful. I have a friend who went through an ugly divorce as well, but she is still living out of boxes, no pictures on walls and she complains of not being able to move forward. This will be her second Christmas in her new home. I plan to show her Marcs home and maybe with my help we can cozy up her space and help her move forward. Thank you for sharing your home Marc, and for the inspiration it gives.

Yes, please get her to move forward. It is the most gut wrenching thing, a divorce, and for me it was after 28 years. Starting over is overwhelming but it can and must be done. Make her pull out the tree, hang pictures and start making new memories. Life will be different but it can be different and much better. For me, I was lonelier living in a home with the wrong person than I am in my own home living alone.
Merry Christmas and thanks for the being a good friend TO your friend. She is blessed! ❤️

What a beautiful home!! I love that it is classic and traditional. And I especially LOVE that he is NOT a minimalist!! Thank you so much for featuring Marc’s home, Rhoda. It has lifted my spirits and given me so much inspiration!

I love that Marc uses bright colorful things and the multi colored lights on the trees. I see so many white lights everywhere and while beautiful, I want some color. It reminds me of my childhood and my husband had always been a big fan of that too.

Wow! Christmas cheer everywhere you look. So beautiful and bright. I absolutely love it. It must take a lot of time to set up and then to take down and store after Christmas so you can tell Marc enjoys doing it. Thank you for letting us tour your home and look forward to part 2.

Beautiful!! My favorite is the kitchen, not just the Christmas decor, though it’s lovely, but the kitchen itself! I would love to know more about the countertops. Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas!
